ATLANTIC CITY, NJ.- A 28-year-old Atlantic City, New Jersey man is facing three years in New Jersey State Prison after pleading guilty on Wednesday to waging a reign of terror against his girlfriend in 2024.
On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Kareem Hall, 28, of Atlantic City, appeared in Atlantic County Superior Court and pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Waldman to second-degree Strangulation of a Domestic Violence Victim; and two counts of third-degree Terroristic Threats.
According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, in return for the guilty plea, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office will recommend that Hall be sentenced to three years in State Prison subject to the No Early Release Act, which will require Hall to serve 85% of his custodial term before becoming eligible for parole.
Hall Admits To Assaulting And Threatening His Girlfriend
The charges and guilty plea stem from multiple domestic violence incidents involving his then-girlfriend, identified as S.M. On numerous dates in 2024, S.M. reported to Police domestic violence incidents involving Hall. On one occasion, she reported that Hall held her down and began to strangle her because she refused to have sex with him, and on two other occasions, she reported that Hall had threatened to physically assault her. At the time of these offenses, Hall was serving a term of probation for assaulting prior assaults of S.M.
After entering his guilty plea on Wednesday, Judge Waldman accepted the plea and scheduled Hall for sentencing on April 30, 2025, in Atlantic County Superior Court. Additionally, Judge Waldman released Hall pending sentencing over the objection of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
