BREAKING NEWS: North Bergen, New Jersey Man Charged With Sex Crimes On Child

19-YEAR-OLD NORTH BERGEN MAN CHARGED WITH THE SEXUAL ASSAULT OF AN 11-YEAR-OLD GIRL

     “Edgar Rompich-Ramos Was Charged On Friday With Sexually Assaulting & Facilitating Child Sexual Abuse Material On An 11-Year-Old Girl.”

NORTH BERGEN, NJ.- Following an Investigation by Members of The Hudson County Special Victims Unit, a 19-Year-Old North Bergen man was Taken into Custody last Friday and Charged in connection with The Multiple Sexual Assaults of a Child and Recording the Assaults.

     Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported, on Friday, February 9, 2024, that Detectives of The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit Arrested Edgar Rompich-Ramos, 19, of North Bergen, New Jersey, on Charges he Committed on a Minor Girl. The Alleged Crimes occurred in a North Bergen Residence on Numerous Dates in 2023, when the Girl was 11-Years-Old, and knew Mr. Rompich-Ramos.

     Accordingly, Mr. Rompich-Ramos was Formally Charged with First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; First Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Facilitating Child Sexual Abuse Material; and Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. 

     Rompich-Ramos was Taken into Custody at The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus. He was Processed on The Charges and Transported to The Hudson County Correctional Facility pending a First Appearance. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office has Filed a Pretrial Detention Motion, to have Mr. Rompich-Ramos Detained pending Trial. 

     If Convicted of The Charges, Mr. Rompich-Ramos will Face a Potential Sentence of Life in New Jersey State Prison.
