Teen Boy Fatally Gunned Down Monday Night In The City Of New Brunswick

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ.- Detectives are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting that tragically claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy in the City of New Brunswick, New Jersey.
According to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, on Monday, March 31, 2025, shortly before 6:30 p.m., members of the New Brunswick Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting in the area of Lee Avenue and Rutgers Street in the City of New Brunswick.
Police Find Teen Boy Shot Multiple Times
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a 16-year-old boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The teen was immediately transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts by doctors, the teen succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been reported at this time as Detectives continue the search for the gunman and a motive for the shooting.
