U.S. House Democrats Heading To The Southern Border Today To Conduct Oversight On Trump’s Border Policies

SAN DIEGO, CA.- Just when you thought the Democrats couldn’t stoop any lower. After four years of denial and outright lying to the American public to cover up their true intentions in transforming the landscape of America, today, a delegation of U.S. House Democratic Lawmakers will visit the San Diego sector of the U.S. California-Mexico border to conduct oversight of the Trump administration border policies.

The delegation that is scheduled to arrive later today in California is being led by Representative Bennie Thompson (D-MS), ranking member of the Homeland Security Committee and former chairman and executive producer of the January 6th House Select Committee, who will be joined by Representatives Lou Correa and Sara Jacobs, both of California, as well as Delia Ramirez of Illinois, Nellie Pou, and LaMonica Mclver both of New Jersey and Tim Kennedy of New York.

It is unclear why U.S. Democratic House lawmakers have decided to visit the border today after four years of Democrats turning a blind eye to millions of illegal immigrants, including tens of thousands of convicted criminals, gang members, and known terrorists being allowed and released into the interior of the United States by the Biden administration. Biden’s, as well as Democrat’s border policies, has resulted in the deaths of thousands of U.S. citizens, leaving a wake of broken families across the Nation.

As first reported by Fox News Digital yesterday, Representative Mark Green (R-TENN) blasted Democrats for now wanting to visit the southern border following years of denying a crisis existed, as record numbers of illegal immigrants flowed into the U.S.

“The American people will not forget how congressional Democrats turned a blind eye as their party created the worst border crisis in U.S. history,” Green said in a statement. “When the Committee held a field hearing in 2023 in Pharr, Texas, no Democrat members attended. My counterpart, Mr. Thompson, even repeatedly called hearings about the border crisis a waste of time.”

“While the visit tomorrow comes years too late, I am grateful Democrats will be drawing attention to the law and order that the Trump administration has and will continue to restore, Green added. “They will have the opportunity to witness the rising morale of our CBP personnel, who now have the needed support to do their jobs. It clearly was this easy to end the crisis; Democrats just didn’t want to.”

Since assuming office on January 20, Trump has completely secured and closed the southern border to illegal crossings. President Trump’s new border actions have dropped encounters to the lowest in U.S. history. In March of 2025, there were just 7,181 encounters at the southern border compared to 137,473 in March 2024, 163,672 in March 2023, and 211,181 in March 2022.

Also, since taking office, the Trump administration has deported more than 100,000 illegal immigrants, more than the Biden administration deported in any single year.

No matter what the reason for the visit is today, House Democrats will most likely try to block what Trump has accomplished since taking office. With Democrats continuing to block each of Trump’s policies and actions, it is becoming apparent that Democrats are prioritizing illegal migrants over U.S. citizens.
