Manchester Man Sentenced For Sexually Abusing 5-Year-Old Girl & Filming The Abuse

NEW HAVEN, CT.- A 59-year-old Manchester, New Hampshire, man, and convicted child sexual predator will be spending over seventeen years in federal prison after he was sentenced on Monday, for sexually abusing a 5-year-old girl and photographing the abuse to create child pornography.
On Monday, April 14, 2025, David Eddy, 59, of Manchester, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Victor A. Bolden to 210 months in federal prison, to be followed by ten years of supervised release for his previously entered guilty plea to a federal child exploitation charges.

According to Acting U.S. Attorney Marc H. Silverman and charging documents filed with the District Court, in September 2022, Eddy committed acts of sexual abuse upon a minor girl, who was approximately 5 years old, and utilized his cellular phone to take photographs of his sexual abuse.
Following his October 2022 arrest, a court-authorized forensic examination of Eddy’s phone uncovered more than 150 digital images and video files depicting the sexual abuse of the 5-year-old girl and other child victims of sexual abuse.
Eddy was initially arrested on October 5, 2022, on state-related charges in Connecticut. On September 25, 2024, he appeared in Federal Court in New Haven, Connecticut, and pleaded guilty to one count of Production of Child Pornography; and one count of Possession of Child Pornography.
Eddy has remained in custody since his initial arrest on October 5, 2022. The Connecticut state charges remain pending.
