
67-YEAR-OLD NORTH ARLINGTON MAN REMAINS IN CRITICAL CONDITION IN KEARNY HIT-AND-RUN

KEARNY, NJ.- Hudson County Authorities are continuing their investigation into a Late Sunday Night Hit and Run, that has left a 67-Year-Old North Arlington, New Jersey man Fighting for his Life, after he was Struck by a Vehicle while operating his Moped in Kearny, New Jersey, that Fled the Scene.
According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, on Sunday, February 11, 2024, just shortly after 10:15 p.m., Members of The Kearny Police Department responded to the area of Harrison and Bergen Avenues in Kearny following a Report that a Moped had been Struck by a Cargo Van, that then Fled the Scene.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 67-Year-Old North Arlington, New Jersey, man in the roadway, suffering from Life-Threatening Injuries. The man was immediately transported to University Hospital in Newark and transferred to Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center where he remains in Critical Condition.
The preliminary investigation determined that the man was crossing at the Intersection of Harrison and Bergen Avenues on a Moped when he was Struck by a Cargo Van that Fled the Scene but was located a Short Distance away from the Scene.
The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and The Kearny Police Department are actively investigating this matter.
