
ESSEX COUNTY AUTHORITIES ARE INVESTIGATING AN APPARENT BEATING DEATH OF NEWARK MAN

NEWARK, NJ.- Essex County Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding an Apparent Beating Death of a 38-Year-Old Newark, New Jersey man that occurred Late Last Night on The 200 Block of Cathedral Court in Newark.
According to Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, shortly after 11:00 p.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an Assault. Upon arrival, Police Officers found Daniel Haas, 38, of Newark, New Jersey outside at the location suffering from injuries.
Mr. Haas was immediately transported to University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased shortly before 12:00 a.m. The Cause and Manner of Death are Pending the Results of an Autopsy.
