PITTSBURGH, PA.- On Tuesday, a 25-year-old Mexican illegal immigrant was charged with a federal immigration crime after being found late last month residing illegally in the Common Wealth of Pennsylvania after previously being deported four separate times.
On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, a Federal Grand Jury for the Western District of Pennsylvania returned an indictment charging Juan Antonio Lopez Mauricio, 25, a Mexican national, with one count of Illegal Reentry by a Previously Removed Alien.
According to Acting U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti and charging information unsealed in the indictment, on January 30, 2025, Mauricio was found residing illegally in the Western District of Pennsylvania after having been removed from the United States four separate times between 2012 and 2015.
If convicted at trial, Mauricio faces up to two years in federal prison, at least a year of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. Upon completion of any imposed sentence, Mauricio will face immediate deportation proceedings and will be removed from the United States.
