Northwest, D.C. Man Fatally Gunned Down Wednesday Night In Northeast

WASHINGTON, DC.- Detectives of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are searching for the gunman who opened fire Wednesday night in Northeast, D.C., leaving a 23-year-old Northwest, D.C. man dead on the street.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, shortly after 9:30 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s First District responded to a report of a man being shot on the 700 Block of H. Street in Northeast, D.C.
Police Found Man Shot Dead
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Jaydon Parson, 23, of Northwest, D.C., unresponsive from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services subsequently pronounced Mr. Parson deceased at the scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing as Detectives continue the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of Mr. Parson.

The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information leading to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the shooting death of Mr. Parson.
