Detectives Arrest & Charge Man For February 18th Northeast Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Monday, a 26-year-old Northeast, D.C., man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with the near-death shooting of a man that occurred on February 18, 2025, in Northeast, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, shortly before 8:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District responded to a report of a shooting at a residential apartment located on the 3700 Block of Jamison Street in Northeast, D.C.
Police Find Man Critically Injured
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and remains hospitalized.
Following an investigation, on Monday, February 24, 2025, Detectives of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department and Special Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives executed an arrest warrant for Keshaun Farmer, 26, of Northeast, D.C.
Following being taken into custody, Farmer was formally charged with one count of Assault with Intent to Kill While Armed. Farmer was processed on the charge and was remanded to the D.C. Central Detention Facility pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia.
