Trenton Pastor Charged With Sexually Assaulting A Teen

TRENTON, NJ.- Last Wednesday, a 64-year-old local pastor was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with allegedly drugging and raping a 16-year-old child.
Following an investigation by members of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Trenton Police Department on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Charles B. Brinson, 64, of Trenton, New Jersey, was taken into custody at his home and formally charged with two counts of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault of an Incapacitated Person; and two counts of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Brinson was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Mercer County Correctional Center, pending future court proceedings in Mercer County Superior Court in Trenton, New Jersey. The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a motion with the court to detain Brinson pending trial.

According to Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey, the charges stem from an investigation that began in February 2024, when a 16-year-old child came forward and reported that they were sexually assaulted by Brinson on separate occasions in January and February of 2024 at Brinson’s residence in Trenton, New Jersey after Brinson slipped them an unknown substance causing to become incapacitated.
Brinson is the Bishop of the Brinson Memorial Church, located on Brinton Avenue in Trenton, New Jersey.
