Manalapan Man Charged With Child Pornography Offenses

OLD BRIDGE, NJ.- On Friday, March 7, 2025, following a months-long investigation, a 34-year-old Manalapan, New Jersey, man and alleged child predator was taken into custody and jailed after being charged with child pornography and drug offenses.
According to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, in October 2024, the Old Bridge Police Department requested assistance from the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office regarding an unknown man who was live-streaming child pornography depicting prepubescent children while masturbating in a virtual telehealth waiting room for a healthcare provider in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
Between October 2024 and January 2025, the man, on at least seven occasions, allegedly live-streamed the same content into the virtual waiting room.
Detectives Identify Schain As The Suspect
During the ensuing investigation, Detectives of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and the Old Bridge Police Department were able to trace an IP address and identify the man as Jason Schain, 34, of Manalapan, New Jersey.
Accordingly, on Friday, March 7, 2025, Schain was taken into custody at his Manalapan residence without incident and formally charged with second-degree Distribution of Child Pornography; third-degree Possession of Child Pornography; third-degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance; fourth-degree Cyber Harassment; and a Disorderly Persons Offense of Lewdness.
Schain was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center, pending future court proceedings in Middlesex County Superior Court in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a motion with the court to detain Schain pending trial.
