Keyport Man Pleads Guilty To Manufacturing Child Pornography

Wednesday, March 19, 2025, 8:00 A.M. ET. 2 Minute Read, By Art Fletcher: Englebrook Independent News,

KEYPORT, NJ.- Last Thursday, a 43-year-old Keyport, New Jersey, man learned when sentenced he would be spending fourteen years in New Jersey State Prison after pleading guilty to child sex crimes.

According to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago, on Thursday, March 13, 2025, Ricardo Negron, 43, of Keyport, appeared in Monmouth County Superior Court and pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge Henry Butehorn to first-degree Manufacturing of Child Pornography; and second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Sexual Contact.

In return for the guilty plea, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office will recommend to the court that Negron be sentenced to 14 years in State Prison, subject to the No Early Release Act, which requires Negron to serve 85% of his custodial term before becoming eligible for parole. Negron will also be subject to Parole Supervision for Life and will be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law.

During The Investigation Detectives Uncover Child Sex Crimes

The charges and guilty plea stem from an investigation launched in February 2024 by Detective Michelle Tucker of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Bureau and Detective Eric Devlin of the Keyport Police Department.

During the investigation, Detectives uncovered that Negron took a sexually explicit photograph of a juvenile family member while the child was sleeping. Negron then created a digital image of the sexually explicit image and shared it over an online social media application with others.

After entering his guilty plea last Thursday, Judge Butehorn accepted the plea and scheduled Negron for sentencing on Friday, June 27, 2025, in Monmouth County Superior Court in Freehold, New Jersey.
