
Trenton Man Charged For The Shooting Deaths Of Mother & Daughter

TRENTON, NJ.- Mercer County Homicide Task Force Detectives have charged a 45-year-old Trenton, New Jersey, man and convicted felon in connection with the execution-style shooting death of his 40-year-old ex-girlfriend and her 13-year-old daughter inside their that occurred last Saturday in Trenton, New Jersey.
According to Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey, Bahin Lynch, 45, of Trenton, has been formally charged with two counts of first-degree Murder; second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; first-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and second-degree Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons.
Lynch was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Mercer County Correction Center, pending future court proceedings in Mercer County Superior Court in Trenton, New Jersey. The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a motion with the court to detain Lynch pending trial.
The charges stem from an investigation that began, when shortly around 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, April 12, 2025, members of the Trenton of the Trenton Police Department responded to a residence on the 300 Block of West State Street in the City of Trenton, after receiving a 911 Emergency Call reporting two individuals being found deceased inside the residence.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found Jairah Biggs, 13, in a third-floor bedroom having sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Police Officers additionally found Malika Whiting, 40, on the stairway leading to the third floor, also having suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Both Malika and her daughter Jairah were subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detective Charge Lynch With The Murders
During a swift-moving in investigation by the Mercer County Homicide Task Force in conjunction with the Trenton Police Department, Detectives were able to quickly identified Lynch as the individual responsible for the shooting deaths of his ex-girlfriend Ms. Whiting and her daughter, Jairah.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
