Mexican Man Charged With Illegal Reentry Into The United States

HARRISBURG, PA.- A 34-year-old Mexican national illegally residing in the Middle District of Pennsylvania is facing up to two years in federal prison after being charged with illegally reentring the the United States after being previously deported.

     On Thursday, April 17, 2025, a Federal Grand Jury for the Middle District of Pennsylvania returned an indictment charging Fraidi Perez-Bartolon, 34, illegally residing in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania with one count of Illegal Reentry into the United States by a Previously Deported Alien.

According To Acting U.S. Attorney John C. Gurganus

     According to Acting U.S. Attorney John C. Gurganus and charging information unsealed in the indictment, it is alleged that Perez-Bartolon was previously removed from the United States on June 2, 2012, through Calexico, California. It is further alleged that Perez-Bartolon was subsequently found in the United States without first obtain permission or legal authorization to do so.

     The indictment also alleges that on April 14, 2025, Perez-Bartolon was encountered and arrested in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.

     Acting U.S. Attorney Gurganus commended the investigative work of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement Removal Operations which led to the indictment of Perez-Bartolon.

     The case was brought as part of Operation Take Back America a nationwide initiative launched by the U.S. Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations in protecting our communities from perpetrators of violent crime.

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
