Police Charge Southeast D.C. Man With Breaking Into Northwest Business

WASHINGTON, DC.- A 27-year-old Southeast, D.C., man was taken into custody and charged in connection with the burglary of a T Street business, after he was found hiding inside the T Street business.
According to D.C. Metroploitan Police Chief Pamela A Smith, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at around 3:15 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District responded to a silent alarm activation for a break in at a business located on the 1400 Block of T Street in Northwest, D.C.
Police Find Uzoukwu Hiding Inside Business
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a suspect, later identified as Odinaka Uzoukwu, 27, of Southeast, D.C., unlawfully inside the business.
Uzoukwu was taken into custody without incident and formally charged with one count of second-degree Burglary. Uzoukwu was processed on the charge and was released on a summons complaint pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia.
