JERSEY CITY MAN WORKING AS A FLORAL DELIVERY DRIVER CONVICTED IN BERGEN COUNTY

FORT LEE, NJ.- A Jury sitting in Bergen County, New Jersey returned Guilty Verdicts against a Jersey City, New Jersey man for The December 2020 Daytime Attack of a Bergen County woman that occurred in Fort Lee.

     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Thursday, February 8, 2024, following a Two-Week Trial before The Honorable James X. Sattely, J.S.C.,  The Jury found Randy Gallman, 39,  of Jersey City, New Jersey Guilty on The Charges of Attempted Kidnapping; Attempted Sexual Assault; Criminal Sexual Contact; Simple Assault; and Harassment. Judge Sattely has Scheduled Sentencing for May 3, 2024, in Bergen County Superior Court.

     The Conviction stems from an incident that unfolded when on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, during the mid-day hours, The Fort Lee Police Department received a 911 Emergency Call from a woman reporting she was Harassed by a man later identified as Mr. Gallman, who at the time was working as Floral Delivery Driver, the woman started screaming and Gallman Fled. Within Twenty Minutes Gallman spotted the woman again, and at that time Gallman Grabbed the Woman, Dragged her into an Alleyway, and Attempted to Sexually Assault her. The Woman fought Gallman off before he ran off.

     A Swift-Moving Investigation by Members of The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, The Fort Lee Police Department, and The Leonia Police Department with assistance from The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bureau Criminal Investigations, and The Jersey City Police Department were able to Identify Gallman as The Perpetrator and Take him into Custody within 24 Hours.
